This page is dedicated to the current status of IPv6 compatibility as it relates to diffferent components on the BluegrassNet network. As most of you know, the Internet will slowly be migrating to IPv6 as it's core routing protocol in the coming years. It is the duty of every ISP, and every customer's network administrator, to ready their network, as well as the servers on their network, to accommodate the coming IPv6 architecture.
In most cases, both the new protocol (IPv6) and the old protocol (IPv4) will run simultaneously and accommodate service requests using both protocols. This means that BluegrassNet needs to let everyone know which services (T1, DSL, etc.) will have IPv6 running and which will not. This also means that servers such as the BluegrassNet mail server: mail.bluegrass.net, will have to be "listening" for IPv6 connections.
Below you will see a list of connection methods with both IPv4 & IPv6 activated. BluegrassNet is allocating IPv6 blocks at this time. Call us for your IPv6. If you already have service with us there may be some nominal set up fees related to replacing or reconfiguring routers.
