This is where BluegrassNet builds and maintains a private e-mail server for a customer and that server is colocated at BluegrassNet. This option is cost effective when a customer has many accounts to service (over 150), and needs customization that is not possible on the BluegrassNet hosted e-mail server.
Benefits include:
- Server can be moved
- Easily expandable
- Save money on per account charges
- Server can be used as a mail archive
- Greater Security, ability to build custom applications such as attachment management

Mail Bagging
This is a service that BluegrassNet provides to customers that are running their own e-mail, on their own server, at their own facility. Basically, in this situation, mail is relayed to the customer site as usual, however, should the customer's Internet connection be down, or possibly their server be non-operational for some reason, all inbound mail is stored on the BluegrassNet system until the customer's systems are back up and running. This prevents inbound e-mails from bouncing. Once the customer's systems are back up, mail that has been stored is then forwarded immediately.

Back-Up Mail Server Services
This is a very popular service, where BluegrassNet literally backs up a customer's email services on a continuing basis and then should something happen to the customer's site and server, the customer's employees can continue to use funtional email via a web-mail interface. How does this work? Essentially a copy of all inbound mail is continually sent to this server, and expires and automatically deletes after a certain amount of days. This helps however should core systems completely go offline for a customer, and worldwide employees need active, immediate e-mails.
