Custom Business Applications
Updated: February 1, 2008
What is the beauty of BluegrassNet Voice? It is OPENSOURCE software. (Here is an overview of how we are using Asterisk) For those of you not familiar with Asterisk, it basically is an opensource telephone PBX that runs on a Unix server. The fact that we have access to the source code, puts us in the position where we can build custom applications that interact with a telephone system. For example:
- We could build phone systems that notify business managers everytime an event occours. Such as a particular inbound call, or user patterns. Notification can come via a voice mail or an email.
- Integration with billing systems
- Integration with customer service systems
- Integration with marketing systems
- Integration with monitoring or security systems, etc.
All the activities that occur on the system can be stored, and interpreted in any way you want. This is extremely helpful in applying trend-analysis to call patterns. We can build user-interfaces that non-technical business managers will find extremely helpful in executing their duties.
If you are interested in discussing "what is possible" please call us , or contact us via email.
