Windows 95 Dialup Networking Setup

You now need to set the maximum 'DTE' speed that you modem can support. Most likely this will already be set if Windows guessed your modem correctly. If not, than it is a good idea to set it one level above what speed you will be connecting at. (i.e. if you have a 28.8, then select the next highest number, which in this case would be 38400)

Click on the 'Connection' tab at the top and make sure that it says the following: Data Bits: 8 , Parity: None , Stop Bits: 1 (as shown next)
