Thirdlane PBX is a complete software PBX that runs in conjunction with Asterisk on a Unix Server. It has a fully functional GUI, a plethora of options and features, and is relatively easy to install, customize and manage.
Customers can choose their own hardware and phones then install and configure PBX in minutes. Advanced features include bulk generation of user extensions and template based auto-provisioning, extensible script library, performance analysis tools and Outlook integration.
Unlike other systems that put a “straight-jacket” on the power and flexibility of Asterisk, Thirdlane PBX enhances it by providing powerful and user friendly management tools. While offering these management tools and end-user functionality straight out-of-the-box, Thirdlane PBX focuses on providing system administrators, resellers, or integrators with an open system that can be further extended and enhanced with custom features based on each business’ requirements.
With Thirdlane PBX, any organization can create a PBX at a fraction of the cost of traditional PBXs or competitive VoIP based products, while providing a level of functionality exceeding that of many of the most costly systems available. Thirdlane comes with two different types of licenses. There is the single license that one would purchase to install a PBX at a business, and there is a license called “Multi-Tenant Edition” (referred to as “MTE”), which allows you to create multiple PBX’s on a single server. In other words: it allows you to run a Hosted PBX ITSP (Internet Telephone Service Provider).
BluegrassNet Voice has helped deploy many MTE versions of Thirdlane. It is not only ITSP’s that are looking for an affordable way to get into the Hosted PBX marketplace, but also inside large enterprises that have disparate offices around the world. Those businesses can now run and manage ALL their telephone systems on the same hardware platform and connect the remote offices via Internet connections. This is a very efficient way to run a large phone system, and can save significant money by eliminating the need for PBX vendors in multiple geographic areas. The largest social services agency in NYC is running on Thirdlane MTE and supports 45 offices with 50 employees at each office, all on one system.
BluegrassNet Voice is one of the main integration support groups for Thirdlane PBX in the world. Our engineers work with both Enterprise and Multi-Tenant Versions extensively. We work with IT professionals and both businesses and ITSP’s to make your project a success.
We also sell, install, and support Thirdlane deployments on an ongoing basis. You can hire BluegrassNet Voice to build and oversee the deployment of your system, and then if there are issues in the future, you can call us to take care of them. Obviously, the idea that you are getting a “software PBX” means that you will be providing your own hardware. That’s fine, but some people simply would rather have us handle that, so we have created two “out of the box” telephone systems that we offer that have Thirdlane PBX on them. We have two different products: TL-250 and TL-3000. There are options, such as if you need them set up for a PRI, of VOIP over Ethernet, or even POTs lines. Therefore, price is done on a “per system” basis. Here is a short synopsis of what you get with each of them.
